Ours is a family farm born out of a pure passion for wine. Winemaking runs deep in our roots, passed down by the current owner’s parents, who brought their rich family traditions from the Bizeljsko region. In 1960, they purchased our current estate in Sromlje—drawn to it precisely because it already had established vineyards and a cellar, allowing them to keep the tradition alive. In a charming twist of history, they partially repaid the loan for the farm in wine, delivering it directly to a tavern owner in Ljubljana who was a loyal customer.

Just over two decades later, following the passing of the father, Ferdinand, the next generation stepped in to carry the torch, taking over the estate and its vineyards. With time, they refined their own palate, techniques, and philosophy of winemaking. We transitioned from selling bulk wine to bottling our own vintages, modernizing both our equipment and production technology along the way. As our passion grew, so did our need for space, leading us to expand and enlarge our cellar. What started with 4,000 vines has now grown into 7,000 grapevines, deeply rooted in the Bizeljsko-Sremič wine-growing district, specifically in the picturesque village of Sromlje.

We craft our wines from around ten different grape varieties, ensuring we can cater to the unique palates of all our guests. Currently, running the vineyard is a labor of love alongside our regular jobs, capturing nearly all of our spare time. That is why it is incredibly fulfilling to see the true value of our wine recognized—both by you, our visitors and loyal customers, and by professional judging panels. Over the past few years, we have been honored with several grand prizes, as well as Great Gold and Gold awards for our vintages.

We honor tradition, take pride in high-quality products, and truly live for good times. There is nothing we enjoy more than creating unforgettable memories together with you, here in the backdrop of our rolling Sromlje hills—a true feast for the eyes and an oasis of peace for the heart.
